Band to Join.

I've been playing the drums for 20+ years, and for the last 5 years have been playing, recording and gigging with two different originals bands and a party band, following a 10-year absence (focussing on the day job as a scientist).

I admit being now in my 40s, I aint no spring chicken, but also not past it yet! I still look ok for a man of my advancing years and have the benefit of wisdom and experience. I'm a team player, committed and I know what hard work means.

With a youthful outlook. I love learning new things and challenging myself to improve in every practice session. Also, unusually for a drummer, I am very well educated (I have a PhD), so have no problem helping out with any administrative duties etc.

I have good quality acoustic kit and I am also ok with electronics and have a Roland SPD-SX and triggers to build in some hybrid elements.

Its never about the money for me. I just love being in bands and making music with fellow musicians, whether its new, experimental or classic covers. I firmly believe that the drummer's role is to lift and enhance the instruments and voices of the other players in the band and not to take over.

Happy to play most genres, including indie, blues, dance, reggae, ska, latin, rock, jazz, or pop, but have always been a fan of something a bit more funky.

I reckon I'm somewhere between moderate and advanced.
