I’m an aspiring studio based producer, seeking to get much better at my craft. Have been really interested in recording technology for years, and recorded a few bands in the past, only in the last 2 have I actually tried my hand at writing original compositions. Like many, this isn’t my full time career, I have a non-music related job and a family, time is short, but my ambition is to write and produce songs as good as ones I listen to and love. Technically/creatively I’m making progress with every new song I write, even when one doesn’t hit the mark, I’ve still learnt something, however my productions are missing something at the moment, vocals, I’m not a singer, although I can put down a scratch vocal to put ideas over, what I’m writing is not aimed at me singing it. I’d also say I’m stronger with music than lyrics, but I do write them, they just seem to take more effort. So i’d love to try and work with a few singers/lyricists to get existing tunes finished, and kick start some new ideas/tracks off.
