Aspiring studio based producer, seeking to get much better at my craft. Have been really interested in recording technology for years, recording several bands in the past, only in the last 2 have I actually tried my hand at writing original compositions. Like many, this isn’t my full time career, I have a non-music related job and a family, time is short, but my ambition is to write and produce songs as good as ones I listen to and love.
Technically/creatively I’m making progress with every new song I write, even when one doesn’t hit the mark, I’ve still learnt something, however my productions are missing something, vocals, I’m not a singer, although I can put down a scratch vocal to put ideas over, what I’m writing is not aimed at me singing it. I’d also say I’m stronger with music than lyrics, but I do write them, they just seem to take more effort. So i’d love to try and work with a few singers/lyricists to kick start some new ideas/tracks off, maybe get existing tunes finished.
