ABOUT
I play swing guitar with more than a hint of jazz and blues. I love adding a little sparkle to a tight rhythm section and improvising concise melodic solos. For me, it's all about doing whatever helps a singer shine while keeping things nicely in the groove. I'm also happy to play percussion on bongo and now making a start on dejmbe and congas. p a u l at shubunq d o t c o m
Over the years I've played in folk, blues and swing outfits and I'm currently working with the Coffee House Trio, The Miss Songbird Duo, the Deltics blues band and various informal collaborations. In the gigless barrens of 2020, I've had fun jamming and busking acoustic sessions, majoring on percussion and BVs.

Some indulgent fun with old school fuzz. The first couple of choruses are planned; the rest is improvised.
