Tubular Bells (Cover) Year: 2022 Genre: Progressive
This is my cover version of Tubular bells, it's inspired by the original studio album and the live 1973 BBC version. If you're a fan of the orignal I do hope you'll appreciate my attention to detail and the love I have for this piece . I first heard it 40 of your Earth years ago and I have been captivated by it ever since. This project all started with me watching the excellent BBC documentary about the album, I started learning the bass part from the finale and then I realised that in order to properly record myself playing the bass part I would have to learn the whole piece leading up to it, and here we are, a year later... It was performed and recorded in my primitive studio (my Shed) over a period of about 10 months starting in August 2021. All performed by me, live and in one take wherever possible. Equipment used: -Crappy 15 year old laptop -Behringer C-1 Microphone -Pro - Tools and all the free plug-ins i could get -Midi keyboard - UMX250 -Fender Telecaster Elite -Rickenbacker 330 (1988) -Hofner Senator Bass (1965) -Fender Acoustic Guitar -£60 Spanish Acoustic Guitar -Stagg Mandolin
