At just 16 years old I was accepted onto the H.Dip course at the ACM to study bass guitar, I was taught by professional pop session players.
In 2005 I started working with Ivor Novella award winning producer Steve Duberry, and song writer Mike Hammilton, on devoloping my own band Sound Theory. The band recorded in the legendary Townhouse studios, with the help of sound engineer Pete Craigey. Sound Theory had endorsement deals, played loads of London's top venues, were featured on myspace, played showcases in front of major labels and even performed on bravo channels football Italia! On a very special episode.
During this time I was also playing bass for another band, Almost Amy (now known as Ballas Hough Band). The band were looking for a bass player and I was recommended by the ACM. Almost Amy were based in London, we played the circuit and recorded at various studios. In the Autumn of 2007 I moved to L.A with the rest of the band to showcase for major labels, after a long bidding war between Interscope and Hollywood records, we ended up signing a record deal with Hollywood records in the summer of 2008. The band became known as Ballas Hough Band, and we have performed on TV countless times including Extra, GMA and the Bonnie Hunt show. Ballas Hough Band recorded their first album release with the amazing producers Eric Valentine (Lost Prophets, Smashmouth, All American Rejects etc.) and John Fields (Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato etc.) The band have also received endorsement deals from huge names such as Fender, Ampeg, and Dean Markley. Ballas Hough Band have played with artist such as Mario, Nick Lachey, Rob Thomas and Lil Kim. The band have also been on a full U.S tour. The first album was released in March 2009 and made it to the top 10 on the U.S itunes pop chart.
Aswell as this before 2007 in the U.K. I had been playing gigs with local function bands and teaching regular bass lessons and doing session work with funk jazz outfit Incheye.
