ABOUT

Hi, we are Cloud Studies, a group of Gen-Xers based in SE London.

We are seeking members to join us for writing and recording an album and playing occasional gigs. We are looking not least for a female singer (or co-singer) than can sprinkle some dreampop magic-dust onto what we do.

Our sound sits somewhere in between melodic jangly indie and shoegaze (Slowdive, Ride, The Smiths, beach House etc) we also have a penchant for more gothic stuff (think Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division and The Cure). As long as you like The Beatles though you should be alright by us.

We have a live set and are now working on tracks for our debut album. We usually rehearse in North Greenwich or Catford. We're not looking for people do a load of band management or anything, just to rehearse and play a few shows with us. At most you'd need to agree to be a part of band photos, social media content and maybe do the odd interview.

Ideally we are looking for someone with some experience or at least knows what is required of being in a band. We are fairly well connected and experienced ourselves, but we do have kids and mortgages to pay, so this is probably not the right band if you seek fame and fortune. We do split rehearsal costs (which works out about £10-£15 quid every few weeks. We just want to make a great record, have a bit of fun and put on a few good shows in London and beyond.
