We are currently a four piece classic rock/blues covers band with gigs lined up. We aim to please a broad audience with our music so our set-list covers material from the last 4 decades from early Stones/Clapton through AC/DC, Rush, Zep, Lizzy through to Oasis, Killers, Kaisers etc. We try to avoid the obvious/cliched songs and like to pick the less obvious ones that we all agree on.
we plan to gig once a month on average and rehearse one night a week. Standard of musicianship is strong and all have considerable previous band experience ( drums, bass, lead guitar, rhythm guitar with 2 backing vox ). To complete the line-up we need a confident and charismatic but not necessarily experienced front-man singer.
This opportunity would ideally suit a singer currently working solo or somebody ready to move up a notch from their current band.
We would also be very keen to hear from complete beginners who think they have what it takes to front a band.
Having the worlds greatest voice and perfect pitching is not paramount, an understanding of the songs and truly connecting with them is much more important. We need somebody who can deliver a passionate and believable performance across a range of styles. Having a reasonable vocal range is however probably required since much classic rock is sung quite high ( How are your Bob Plant, Axl Rose and Bon Scott impressions? )
We are in effect a ready-made band waiting for the right front-man, so if you think this is you give us a call!.
Candidates should be comfortable with the average age of the band being 45 although age is no problem for us.
