The Tramp Aviators were born in a basement in West Oxfordshire, when the drummer and singer (an unlikely combination perhaps, but think White Stripes without the ambiguous sexual tension) of a local covers band decided that Brown Eyed Girl covers were all well and good, but wanted to do something a little more interesting.
We are Dave Porter (chordsmith, multi-instrumentalist and producer) and Paul Vanags (words and singing, plus occasional hand-clap). We're just starting out and adding new songs all the time, but nice things people have said about us include;
"like a cross between Turin Brakes and Frank Turner"
"Did you really write that yourself? That's amazing!", and
"It's nice he gets out of the house once a week so I can catch up on my box sets"
We're looking for new musicians to help shape our sound and contribute creatively to the songs we write - do get in touch if you're interested in seeing if there's a fit.
