ABOUT

Hey,

We're The Dead Life, a heavy rock outfit based in Brighton.

One of our guitarists recently left due to getting married and work commitments, so we're looking for someone who contribute to a slightly different direction we want to go in, based very heavily on vocal harmonies and more ethereal guitar arrangements, but not forgetting the big riffs and hooky choruses that made up our first set.

From our first release we got some great reviews from indie press, decent sales at gigs and on bandcamp, got on an indie labels compilation album, some internet and local radio play, as well as playing many gigs and a few festivals, so we want to make our next release bigger.

Ideally you would be 21-29, (we're 23-28) very experienced rock/metal rhythm guitar player and if you have some lead skills you'll get the opportunity to show it.
You'll have your own rig, (a minimum of a decent sounding pair of guitars, a head, a cab, stage tuner, effects etc.) as well as an energetic type of performance to go with it.

We also cannot stress the backing vocals part enough, if you're not confident singing harmonies while playing please don't waste your time or ours, the last thing we want is to get into audition situations and this come up.
Simply put, if you can't sing this isn't the project for you as it is essential for us.

Oh, and a driving license/vehicle wouldn't harm your prospects.

If this sounds like something you'd like to be involved in and see how far you can take a musical project then please get in touch with us on or at the dead life music at dot com
