Skavana are a high energy Ska band with a Rock feel performing ska’d up covers of Nirvana and other pop/rock bands as well as Ska classics. We are committed to being as professional and creative as possible. and take a collaborative approach to selecting and arranging songs - and making sure the fun element of it is always there. Our ambition is to play regularly in pubs and venues and to get booked for festivals. Currently our set list consists of Bad Manners, Madness, Nirvana, The Specials, Billy Idol and Eilish, A-Ha,Nena amongst others. We have a definite rock feel to our interpretation of songs covered, but try to maintain the Ska rhythm. We are looking for a Sax player to join the horns and a drummer to replace our current drummer who is sadly moving away. Ideally we’d like someone who is experienced, enthusiastic and creative but not necessarily with a Ska background. Age is unimportant (we span several decades between us!).
