ABOUT

Busker in early 90s combining classical guitar (me) and electric guitar, and my singing; local 90s progressive rock and indie/folk band singing own political/environmental activism material at regular own and local fundraising gigs; cd produced; self-taught saxophone and basic keyboard; 12years alto and soprano singer with five-part community choir, many genres and fundraising gigs, care homes, public events incl Olympic torch ceremony (also helped co-run choir); published poet 2000-2002 and spoken word performer, and have continued happily writing poetry and lyrics.

Happy to share especially with other passionate a Cappella, gospel, rock, classical, pop, many styles of soul-led, spirit-inspired and influenced musicians and singers, who are happy being co-creative, enjoying expanding their passionate, unconditionally-loving energy to offer, receive, share and explore life through performance, whether with each other or to a crowd.

Whilst not currently prioritising joining a band, I am always open to collaborating with others, so if what I’ve written resonates, you’re welcome to be in contact.

I am considering joining a f/t music/performing course, albeit much older than many students, so am happy to hear from others who have followed a similar route. Thank you. ?

Influences

So many! Pentatonix for a Capella, Queen a longtime favourite, and rock, pop, some punk, rap, reggae, ska, jazz, folk, rnb, classical, religious, spiritual incl modern, musical theatre, opera etc.

Expansive influences, but using musical and lyrical energy to honour positive psychology, spiritualism and Buddhism, the simultaneous multidimensional nature of our and all beings; unity and Oneness alongside our unique creative individuality and soul groups/planet of origin and experience of many lifetimes.

I frequently change the lyrics of popular songs to reflect my beliefs and experiences, as I see myself currently as more of a singer than other instrument player, and part of a creative process with others who are more talented at writing the musical scores, although I can contribute harmonies, melody suggestions, rhythm and lyrics. All great fun! ?
