I'm run a good quality covers band.
I'm a lead guitarist, late thirties, had loads of covers and originals experience. I don't want to join a pro band as I have a full time job so I don't want to kill myself doing 3 gigs a week, 2 or 3 a month is about the maximum level. I love rock-pop so I would like to play modern and older classics - Foo Fighters, Chillis, Feeder, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon etc maybe even some Muse, Beatles, Stones etc. I would like it to be a mainstream party band but fun and great musicianship. I'm only considering guys as I just don't listen to female singers (sorry girls!) and it would help if you are in a similar situation to me! It would be a joint effort joint split of money venture - I've no desire to manage all the gig finding and other admin or telling people what to do but have a team effort! The prime aim is to have fun, play some cool venues / functions and make a bit of money on the side.
