i have been singing for a long time, mostly for fun, but i have never played in a band, which is what i've always wanted to do, at 57, perhaps i'm too old, but i would love to try it. i'm not a great singer, but i'm not a bad one either, perhaps if i got an audition, you could be the judge, it all depends on the songs/song i am doing. i love all sorts of music jonre's, accept wrap, come to my place and i'll sing for you, or ask me for a cd to send you, i've also been known to pen the odd lyric, weather i fail or not, i would just like a chance. Two years ago, i won a karaoke championship, out of 20 other much better finalists..let's just say the judges liked the way i moved about, apparently i have a style.
i have never played a single gig, but once behind a mic, provided i know the the words, my confidence ouzes, once up there you can never get me off it, well that was the case when i was doing my karaoke, which i loved doing in front of crowded pubs, but now i live here in okehampton, there is no karaoke on a regular basis, so i do it all by myself at home, and recently at 56 i coughed up a lot of blood, i thought it was cancer, but it was my voice breaking for the first time, it has seemed to be a new lease of life for me, because i seem to sound much better, and now i am not straining myself, or trying too hard any more
