The Imposters are a pop/rock Reading/Bracknell based covers band, a female vocalist, male bass, guitarist and drummer.
Due to heavy work commitments our keyboard player, who doubled up as our backing vocalist can no longer continue with us so we’re looking for a replacement.
We’re all really easy going, don’t have ego’s, get on really well, and generally laugh at each other a lot – so we’re looking for someone like minded.
Male or female, and age isn’t relevant – we’re between 26-50.
We rehearse in Wokingham and cover songs from the 60’s through to today. Some of them we play pretty much the way the original was recorded and a few we’ve given our own interesting Imposters twist.
We can, and are continuing as a 4-piece until we can find someone new to join us, as we have gigs we’re committed to doing. But finding a new keyboard player means that we don’t end up a bit limited to songs/genres we can cover and won’t impact on our current set list. Also, if you can hold a tune and are happy to take on backing vocals (or even some leads) that’s even better.

Influences
We have loads of musical influences, too many to name ....... 50's and 60's stuff, rock, pop, blues, ska, motown, disco stuff. There's so much out there thats influenced all of us through our lives so far.

EQUIPMENT
We've all got our own equipment, transport and PA, plus a small mixer and speakers if we need to rehearse anywhere that we cant just turn up and play.
