Drums.ABOUT
Looking for a drummer to join our cover band High Point Players (or, equally as likely, to start a new band under a different name) to play weddings. Our drummer is great, and a lovely chap, but does not want to play weddings.
We're looking for someone with the same raw energy as our current drummer. Standing on the kit etc...
A bonus would be good backing vocal ability.
Thanks v much for reading through this!

Setlist from last saturday (20th June 2026) was as follows. Fairly wide range of material, and to some extent our USP is playing songs that other local bands don't do. As I'm sure you're aware, it's tricky to find uncommon cover band songs that will still go over well, but we try.

EQUIPMENT
For the geeks (like me):
'78 Marshall JMP 2204
4x12 cab currently with a '78 G12-65 (micd), two early 70s Pulsonic G12Ms, and a late 70s G12M 'blackback'. All the G12Ms have a degree of coil rub... honestly, don't get into really old speakers, it is addictive and a pain in the bum in equal measure.
Generally an sm57 close mic, various pedals, a 1980 Tokai Les Paul knockoff usually with P90 pickups but occasionally a SD '59 in the bridge if the twanginess of the P90 starts to get on my tits when playing the rockier stuff.
