Hey, I'm Chris,

I am putting together an Alternative Rock band leaning on a love of Post-Rock and slightly experimental tendencies and am looking for like minded musicians.

I'd love to find an adventurous drummer and bassist, and someone who can add harmonies and textures as well as powerful riffs on guitar and synths as suits the songs best. Oh, and backing vocals from anyone would be awesome.

I'm not looking to sound like anyone in particular, just produce exciting music, maybe think moments of Mogwai, Biffy Clyro, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Slint, 65DoS, Mew, Melvins, At The Drive-In, ....Trail of Dead.

There'll likely be some more complicated time signatures like 7/4, 5/4, and there may be changes between signatures bar to bar in occassion. A little Math rock influence.

I'm early 40s, lot's of good gear, transport with appropriate funds and time available. It would be good to have people with similar circumstances. Probably talking around 2.5/3 hour rehearsal sessions 3 or 4 times a month, an hour or 2 practice at home each week, a couple of weekends recording a year, and gigs as they get offered. I have basic demo recording facilities and can produce full band demos at home or from rehearsal sessions.

If that sounds of interest then give me a shout. I'm looking to do auditions early Nov. It's really important to me that everybody fits well personally and in musical style.
