I'm 49 and I'm getting a side project covers band together, looking to play pubs that people actually drink in rather than playing 'venues' where you have to drag your mates to and suffer at the hands of idiot promoters (grr....it's OK, I've got it off my chest now ;o)
What makes us different to all the other bands out there? We want to concentrate on late 70's early 80's punky pop/new wave stuff. Pubs are full of blokes in their 40's that wont have heard this stuff since they were kids, that's where we step in ;o) We can mix it in with a bit of newer stuff, maybe some 60's stuff, see how it goes.
We've been working on a pile of songs but the guitarist that's been doing lead vocals feels that he isn't up to the job and would rather do backing vox & git, fair enough, this is where you come in. We don't mind if you're a bit rusty, we don't mind if you've only sung in the bath (at least it means you wont smell!!) get in touch, we can meet up for a beer and a chat
