I am a lead guitarist/harsh vocalist who has moved back to Somerset from uni and is looking for a local hardcore/metalcore project (as my other bands are currently scattered across the country post-uni and I'm keen to get a local band going.
I'm an experienced performer with a variety of gigs and venues under my belt, from tiny little gigs to Boomtown festival. The vast majority of this experience is as a guitarist (with backing vocals), but I am also a harsh vocalist and I'm quite keen to take up lead vocals/frontman duties in whatever band I end up in next.
I write a lot of my own material, both riffs and vocals/lyrics, as well as arrangements and production elements (though I definitely would not call myself a good producer). Currently, this material is largely nu-hardcore inspired (think Thrown, Alpha Wolf, Fox Lake etc) but I've got a backlog of material that includes post rock, emo, metalcore, melodic hardcore and others.
I ideally want to be gigging, I'm not hugely interested in doing studio-only projects at the moment. I'm happy to either hop into an already-established band or build one from the ground up, I just am super keen to get involved in the local scene.
