I'm a vocalist and moved from up North and need a band. I've been gigging forever, mainly in tongue in cheek rock bands. I still gig about 4 times a year, but 250 miles is a bit far for a rehearsal. I'm looking for bassist, drummer, rhythm and lead guitarists, possibly keyboards. All just for fun, hoping to play a few covers/originals in pubs, maybe the odd event/festival, nothing to heavy or regular (when we can after lockdown). Current band covers from snow patrol, Pink Floyd, U2, Radiohead, Quo to Robbie Williams and even some sixties, all given a rock twist. I write a lot of stuff too. Your age and sex is irrelevant, your positive attitude and desire to play for fun is most important. For what its worth I'm male, real age 55, band age 27. My band before last did a lot of dressing up and put on a real show. Think Kiss meets Spinal Tap, we'd walk on stage to me breathing fire. I'm still keen for such nonsense at the right venues. Not too fussed about your talent level, as long as you are good enough to gig and entertain, enjoyment is paramount. No prima donnas! :) I'm not the best singer in the world, but good enough to be one of the most popular bands in our area and get booked for a few festivals. Anyway, that's enough waffle. Hope to hear from you lovely musos soon ????
