Influences

Long Day Gone released their second single “Don’t Say Goodbye” on the 27th of October 2008. On the back of the band's success of reaching No.27 in the UK Indie Charts with their debut single "Live Or Die", Long Day Gone are striving to reach even greater heights in the coming months with brand new tracks and rip roaring live shows. It’s look’s like a very exciting end to a very successful year for the band, with plans already in place for 2010.

Dangerously addictive, LDG have a sound that stands head and shoulders over the current British guitar based sound and not a pair of skinny jeans in sight!!

For the past three and a half years, they have been crafting away at their tracks from their base in the Midlands to bring to the public's ears music that's simply awe-inspiring. Long Day Gone's depth is derived from the sounds of many of their Rock contemporaries. This depth of character ebbs and flows through LDG's songs that when mixed with their creativity generates their own distinctive sound, from the crushing sounds of "Fall Out" to the haunting out & out British rock influenced "Don't Say Goodbye".

LDG's ventures cover London, the North West and their home turf in the Midlands. Regular airplay on Kerrang Radio, constant views on Myspace and a large social network ensures a crowd at their shows. Long Day Gone's gigs include Storm in Leicester Square, The Cavern Club in Liverpool, Jug of Ale, Birmingham Barfly, NEC Birmingham, Tamworth Assembly Rooms and their sold out shows at the Little Civic in Wolverhampton which saw 170 people pack the place out to celebrate the launch of their debut single.

Just as much as their song writing is prolific, Long Day Gone are also frequent visitors to the recording studio and have worked very hard to nurture and develop their sound.
