Anyway...
I'm Kieran, 24. I've been playing the guitar for nearly 15 years now, both electric and acoustic, as my primary instrument, but I'm also self taught on piano, have played bass live on multiple occasions, sing to a vaguely acceptable standard, and play drums very basically. I'm ideally looking to form a band with people roughly my age with similar sorts of influences, but I'm open to any opportunities at this point! I'd want to play guitar, but for recording purposes I'm capable of recording keyboard/piano parts, various percussion parts, and backing vocals.
Whilst I do sing (as you can hear on my Soundcloud) I don't believe I'm particularly great, so unless my voice is somehow exactly what you want, I don't really see myself being a lead vocalist.
I've studied music (composition and technology) right through to degree level, so I'm fairly advanced on music theory, songwriting, and recording. I've been writing my own music for as long as I can remember. My style seems to frequently shift from heavily 60s influenced stuff, to wannabe 80s, so I guess I'm quite versatile in that regard! I also record all my own music and demos (I'm not perfect, but I think my ability is definitely acceptable for demo standard recordings for soundcloud/social media) so I can record and mix any work I may record with yourselves.
I've played live on many occasions, and during my university years I was part of a rock band in London, as well as playing gigs in various different parts of the country, so I've had plenty of experience performing live.

Influences
Pretty eclectic, in all honesty! They range from 80's influences such as New Order, Huey Lewis and the News, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Phil Collins, to 60's and 70's influences like The Beatles, Stray Cats, Beach Boys, Big Star, Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix, right through to the more contemporary Maroon 5, Jellyfish, Drake Bell, John Mayer, and The 1975.

EQUIPMENT
Guitars: A Fender Telecaster and a Gretsch Electromatic Hollow Body.
Amps: Currently none. (only recently moved to the IoW and my VOX AC30 C2 is in storage on the mainland, but the aim is to get it back sooner rather than later!)
Other instruments: Keyboards, tambourines, sleigh bells (don't ask!), pennywhistle, maracas, claves, and an accordion (again, don't ask...)
Recording Equipment: AKG 214 Vocal Condenser Mic, SM57 Instrumental Mic, vocal pop shield, vocal reflection filter, mic stands, Apogee One recording interface, and an Apple iMac with Logic Pro 9 with various industry standard plug ins such as FabFilter and POD Farm.
