ABOUT

Were a four piece band currently in search of a lead singer. There are currently 6 songs written with relatively complex rhythms/melodies so we ideally looking for somebody that has a good ear for both phrasings and pitch.

Musically the style is typical of the songs available in the above player. As you may notice the music makes liberal use of odd-counts, accents and breaks; so potential players getting involved should share a similar taste in these oddities. This is a for the love of playing music type venture but one should ideally share a motivation to capitalise on opportunities and grow as an act.

You probably wont be able to use the BandMix mail so please feel free to get in contact through the below e-mail. Also, if you were added to our music list then it would be good to have a chat about what yer up to and see if we have any shared interest in collaborating etc.

If you still want to know more heres the rundown of our commitments:

Myself (Josh) and Darren recently graduated our masters in Audio Engineering. We have some serious skills recording and further opportunities to record new material are certain - at worst though we can get unusually cheap rates for high quality studio time. We also both understand the music industry quite well from both formal education and experience.

Currently I (Josh) have numerous freelance jobs - some interesting, some not. In short the more things work in the band the more I can commit musically. My aim is to shift away from my less interesting jobs towards generating a revenue streams from a variety of sources such as sync, publishing and more typical band endeavours such as gigs/cds.

Darren is up for a weekly rehearsal and gigs but wishes to maintain focus on his engineering for now. This means that he'll put in a reasonable effort to practice and gig but if there's a desire to do the continuos touring on a low budget thing or a requirement to put in too much time then he would be happy to hand over the sticks to someone else. So for the foreseeable future hes in, at least till the balls rolling.

Manuel has no problem moving more into music but is just as happy to play for the sake of gigging. Hes a sound bloke and can pick things up pretty quick.

Presently we hold in respect the fact that we have slightly different motivations and so open discussion and upfront honesty about commitments are welcome. You gotta do your thing which is cool, we gotta do ours as well - lets talk directly about things and save the guess work.
