Does anyone ever get any contact from this? I've tried signing up and sending messages and found it very hard to get any replies. Any how I'm very interested in hearing from any and all jazzers and vocalists that would be interested in getting involved with an ensemble to gig jazz originals and standards, and/or depping at gigs, and/or recording sessions. Find me on f.a.c.e-book via...
or mail jazzbugg live com
Always interested in networking with musicians and vocalists into jazz. Currently working on a project to record 18 new original songs (mainly swing) using a variety of vocalists, and to then go on to seek radio play and to gig the material. Very interested in speaking to reasonably local vocalists into the genre and interested in being on the album(s) and getting involved to gig the material (paid).
Still potentially space on this project.
I compose jazz pieces (swing, ballads, jazz-blues, waltzes, latin etc) and have built and run The Jazz Collective, a 2 band collective of aspiring jazz musicians, and play sax (tenor, alto, and soprano) in both bands. The older of the 2 bands (Jazz Alchemy) recently recorded its first album and both bands now gig regularly. The bands are based in Worcestershire (Jazz Alchemy) and Birmingham (Timeless). I am also rehearsing a 3rd band focussing on original jazz material, and am planning to record a first original album soon. I'm always looking for jazz musicians and vocalists to network with for depping for my bands and for recording projects.
I'm always looking for jazz capable or jazz aspiring musicians to network with for possible opportunities such as...
* Joining one of the bands when opportunities arise
* Recording Sessions
* Depping for us when we're short
* Potential future projects
* And can be available to dep myself

P.S. The 3 sound samples here are now very out of date. I'll try to get around to uploading something more recent at some point.
