I’m seeking Jazz Musicians.

I would also be interested in hearing from Jazz Bands who are seeking a bass.

I’m 68 years old.

I’m a highly experienced ex-record label Bass Player; but that’s not the thing …

Since retiring from my Head of Faculty post a few years ago, I thoroughly enjoyed setting up and running two successful 70s pop function bands (see videos).

For each, I :-

- Found like-minded, nice-people, pickers
- Produced pro-quality studio recordings
- Edited the videos
- Got us on to page one of 3 booking-agency rosters
- Managed the marketing, agencies and bookings
- Arranged the music
- Played the bass
- Made the tea

Most recently I’ve been playing with a Jazz Standards Band but we’re not getting bookings.

Although I would remain loyal to my current band, (love them to bits) if doesn’t take off soon I want to try repeating what I did with my own successful rock-pop function band but with a new Jazz band - either playing American Songbook standards or departing into something a little more contemporary.
