Hello,
My name is Jack, i'm 20 and i'm a professional guitarist with a lead singer in a newly formed duo. We are looking for a singer that must play keys (age 18-25) to form a trio to hit the high seas. We'll be sailing around the world on luxury cruise ships and getting paid for it!!
I live in Christchurch and have a music studio to rehearse in. No experience necessary as long as you can sing and play keys. You don't need to be able to read music either. We will be rehearsing for an audition for a cruise ship gig.
Lets go into detail........
Contracts are anywhere from 1-6 months and can be anywhere from Alaska, the Mediterranean, Caribbean and everything in-between.
You are given a cabin (which is usually shared) and all food is free. Nothing is docked from your wages. Unless you miss the ship at port..... then you have to fly yourself out to the next port of call (expensive).
Working hours are around 4 hours a day (on 'at sea days'). Working hours are less when docked at a port. We will be expected to perform our sets in various locations on the ship (on the deck, in one of the lounge bars etc).
We will need a varied repertoire for our sets and so rehearsals will cover new chart Pop, R'n'B, Soul, County & Western, Motown, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Reggae and funk, from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and up to current chart hits.
