Why hello there fellow music lovers,
I would ideally like to begin the baby steps of putting a folk band together so ideally am looking for guitars, ukuleles, accordions, the general folky drill of gorgeous and joyful sounds.
I am a singer/songwriter based in Brighton and would really like to find some musicians to work with and bounce ideas off of. I have add a link to my YouTube channel (which is very new) with two of my songs on so that you can get a feel for my voice but I would probably say the music is a bit more blues than folk. These have been filmed on my SLR in my room acapella so they're pretty raw!
To be honest, I'm actually open to most genre's of music so if you're not necessarily folk orientated then we can have a play with what I/you have. I'm not even sure that I write folk music, someone said that one of them would make a good electro track!! But folk and blues is what I'm aiming for, I don't actually want the songs to be so slow or as moody as they are, hence why I need some musicians to work through all of the possibilities with!
The most important thing at the moment is to get some players together and get some creativity off the ground.
I have been singing for years and over the last year I have turned this into a job, although at present I sing with a backing track. Singing my own songs however is a completely new experience. I feel now is the time to get a band together and take Sussex by storm! hehehehe
If you like what you hear or don't but like my voice and fancy having a play about then get in touch, I'm based in central Brighton and I'm very flexible with rehearsals/jams.
I look forward to hearing from/meeting whoever you are!:)
Until then, have a fabulous day and I hope the sun is shining wherever you are,
