I've noticed that most unsigned bands play the same mundane pop punk/alternative rock covers and nothing else. If I were in a band, I would want our work to be weird, funny, sardonic, atmospheric but most importantly, generally commercially unappealing à la my influences below. Experimental is the word I'm looking for I think.
