What's up? I'm Chris (bass/guitar/vocals) and along with Mika (saxophone) we are FAKE8. We're a metal band from Brisbane, Australia. We were a trio back is Aus but our drummer wasn't keen to move to the UK with us so we are looking for another! Our music is very Meshuggah/Tesseract influenced but with deathcore-style vocals and a saxophone. It's a funky mix but I think it's sick.
We are looking for a drummer who is comfortable playing very technical music, lots of polymeter/cyclical riffs, the occasional blast beat and lots of groove. We are very serious so are looking for either someone commited or interested in being a touring/performing member.
We are looking to stay as a trio, I (Chris) use a bass with a guitar pickup in it and split the signal so I cover both the bass and guitar parts at the same time while Mika has some crazy FX for the sax so we end up having a really huge sound.
