We're a band looking for BASS PLAYER!

We are an alternative metal band that utilises synth backing tracks to make sure our songs are varied and interesting. We have a wide range of song styles that give something for everyone. From hard hitting Rammstein/Static-X grooves, drum and bass beats lined with metal riffs, throw in some Danny Elfman mixed with black metal, to anthemic sing alongs that pull in Within Temptation and Lacuna Coil audiences with a sprinkle of pulsing synthwave bass lines. Mix all that up with some dark gothic creepiness that come from the Birthday Massacre and you have a rough understanding of how our music could sound.
We are in the process of recording our 3rd Album/EP release. And we start our tour mid April with 12 dates currently on the calander across the UK. We know you may not be available for some of these dates but any you can play will be fantastic. We have a 12 song 1 hour set list and a shorter 8 song 45 min set list for the tour. We are about to start show rehearsals for the tour and we have a music video shoot due in March.
We've been doing UK tours of 20-40 plus shows a year for 3 years now. Most of which earn plenty to put back into the band fund. Which means minimal cost to members. So no money needed for recording, music videosor merch etc.

Own transport would be super helpful but if not then you would need to be in or around Gloucester, Stroud, Bristol or Stratford upon Avon (unless you don't mind the travel). We car share as much as possible for show, max of 2 cars if we can so we can split fuel costs. This also means we keep gear minimal to.

Gear wise we travel light using modellers for guitars (and bass), the drummer obviously brings the most bulky gear in the second car. lf the joining person is a guitarist, it would be perfect to match this gear or similar or be willing to share the rhythm guitarists quad cortex so as not to lug massive amps around. Tuning wise, all songs can be played in drop B. We do use in ears monitors taking only a mix of click, backing synth, guitars and bass, so you must be comfortable with using IEMs.

We have a 1 hour set, 45 min, and a 30 min set list. 45 mins is the most common for our shows and the max we are currently playing this year consisting of 9 songs.

Once again, if you do join, the 45 min set will need to be learnt ASAP with as much help given to you as you need. As for joining the tour. We don't expect you to be able to play all the shows this year (mostly Saturdays) so just play what you can.
When it comes to next years tour you will need to be able to play most of the shows we book. Please to message for more details on this as it's too much to explain here how we book.

Writing music. What we do currently works and would like to keep it that way. We feel it's the fairest way to get everyone to have input if they so wish. We can discuss in more in messages.

Again, we have a video shoot planned for this year in March and more videos planned for later in the year as well as an albums worth of material to accompany them. Your input is very much needed on these tracks as it will dictate how we choose to proceed forward on this album sound if we do not find someone. Before mixing and mastering.

Lastly practice,
With busy lives we dont tend to practice as a group much until after a tour ends. So from November to March is almost weekly practice or writing/demo recording sessions until the new tours songs are learnt and stage performance is rehearsed.
