Hey everyone, We're Dead Retinas. A Stockport hardcore punk band. We are in the market for a new vocalist.
We are an established band with a lot of gigging experience and we are after a vocalist who is committed and ready to push this band further.
We practice every Thursday at our room in Stockport. This is a large room decorated with comic strips which we have all day and night on Thursdays, with a secure lock up in the room for all our gear which is accessible 24/7. We each pay £30 a month for this room, so any new members will have to add this to their monthly outgoings.
We have many influences musically and try to throw in the odd homage to our favourite artists from any and all genres from Hardcore, Punk, Hip Hop, Dance, Soul, etc. basically we have an eclectic range of influences so people that can bring fresh ideas and new perspectives are very welcome.
Currently we've got a bassist and guitarist with very strong vocal abilities. So we're looking for frontman who can write lyrics and bring a strong presence when playing live, think Keith Buckley meets Damian Abraham.
Someone with a car would be ideal, but not essential, as our bassist currently has all the driving duties.
We will only consider applicants 21 and over.
Just to throw out some well known influences, Every Time i Die, Cancer Bats, Gallows, F**ked Up, The Chariot and Heck.
We have already recorded an EP, but with the departure of the recent vocalist we will have to re record with a new one.
Any applicants will need to audition with us on a Thursday evening, or send us any audio/video of vocal performances.
