My wife is a Londoner, I'm from California, we spent the last 20 years in Costa Rica. Family draws us back to London. I just turned 50. Music and songwriting is my passion, but need to find the right band mates to fit in with. I have no ego issues, easy to get along with, will work hard and be honest. Been in bands most of my adult life, fronted a few bands in Costa Rica, just recorded a 6 song EP in Costa Rica, all original songs that I wrote.

I sang all the parts and played all the guitar parts, I posted the songs below. I can sing lead or backing, depending on what's called for. I can play rhythm guitar or lead as needed. We don't have to play my songs, I'm open to what's best for the band and the goals.

Influences

Tom Petty, The Band, Zeppelin, Eagles, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Stones, Bowie, the Clash, Dylan, 80's new wave and punk. Also like blues, funk and country. Not a big fan of most of the current pop, or pop country, seems like it's machine "formula" music, easily forgotten and soulless. I'd like to be part of a band that is seeking to do something lasting and special.

Don't want to just play old covers, more interested in infusing the quality influences to make original music. However, I do know covers are a great way to begin.

My current spotify playlist for running today was: John Mayer, Chris Stapleton, Amy Winehouse, Pearl Jam, Sturgill Simpson, Stevie Wonder, X, Adele, ACDC, Foreigner, Tina Turner, Tears for Fears, Kings of Leon... as you can see I'm kind of all over the map, as long as it is good songwriting, I'm in.
