Covid edit: Well, came through the pandemic ok but unfortunately minus a partner, so making changes, getting used to singing backing vocals whilst playing the bass.
I am looking for female players/vocalists within travelling distance of Milton Keynes/Bedford
I am bass player with The New Favourite Aunties, house bass for the Husbourne Crawley jazz jam session (8+ yrs). and gig/dep with several other bands as and when called (20+ yrs) Love playing jazz, but like playing other genres as well. I also have studio experience and take pit work as well. Mostly looking for jazz players or bands doing public gigs and or recordings.
I attempt to listen to different genres of music so that I can have a broad cash of ideas when creating original Bass lines.
I play fretless bass, can read charts, read dots slowly but have a quick and good ear, and come with good equipment and transport. I am now officially retired from the "proper job" world, having spent the last 15 years doing only music, and so am now available to rehearse or gig most days and evenings of the week.
