All three of our band members were born and raised in South London, Croydon
Bluesoul Pharmacy formed in the later months of 2005; Elle B had been working separately with two musical collaborations “Blue Soul LDN” which was founded by Blueyez and “De Pharmacy” founded by Murphy. In the summer of 2005 ElleB subsequently decided to introduce the two.
Blueyez whom had been working on a musical project with artists called Cahri and Magic Fingerz, and Murphy whom had experienced some solo success with an album “The Next Big Ting” which stirred excitement in and around the underground scene.
The creative vibes were instantaneous between them and it soon became clear that in joining forces they could bring forth something fresh and unique to the music industry… And thus the Bluesoul Pharmacy was born.
Within months of meeting all of the artists were thrust forward into writing, recording and performing their material in unison.
Over the past year the Bluesoul Pharmacy have been working full-throttle in the studios of Incredible Music (Of the Late Great Junior Delgardo) both producing and recording fresh as well as old songs.
The Video for their debut single "Better Man" won the “You Tell Us” on Channel U in September, now featured on the channels main playlist. In October this year BSP were short listed in the Urban Rules Hugo Boss Competition, beating thousands of entries, BSP got through to the final 5, and won special day’s tuition with some of today’s leading figures within the music industry, including: Joe and Sway.
Having produced over 100 tracks during the last eight months alone; collaborations with some of the world’s leading musicians. With both home-based and overseas performances combined with video, single and mixtape album releases under their belts; the distinctive sound of Bluesoul Pharmacy is sure to shake up the entire industry.

Local talent makes National Final!
Of the UK’s biggest talent contest outside X-Factor!
Bluesoul Pharmacy from London has made it through to the National final of Live & Unsigned “South Coast Idol” on Saturday 26th May.
Bluesoul Pharmacy have had to make it through 2 rounds of auditions, a live semi final show and a regional final becoming a Regional winner in the process. Bluesoul Pharmacy are one good performance away from winning the national final and title. Bluesoul Pharmacy will be representing London competing amongst only eighteen other hopefuls from around the country to win the title of the “UK’s best Live & Unsigned act”.
The competition is the biggest music talent contest for bands and solo artists outside of TV’s X-Factor. Live & Unsigned competition is different in that all Contestants are encouraged to do there own thing whether that be their own genre, style, play their own instruments or perform their own song. There are two age categories under 17 and 17 and over age categories.
The Competition has also been commissioned by ITV for their new broadband channel and there will be a series broadcast in the early spring www.itvlocal.tv
Chris Grayston from Live & Unsigned explains “This is a fantastic opportunity, from 10,000 contestants, a fantastic achievement in itself. Last year a number of the Finalists ended up working with record labels and producers so potentially it’s a very exciting time for all the acts and the competition in general. All the contestants have proved they are talented and it’s going to be a very competitive & exciting final, but it’s going to be down to who wants it most!”.
The Grand National finals are the showpiece of the whole competition. In 2006 (and again this year) the National Final are held at Portsmouth Guildhall and was a complete sell out to a 2,000 capacity venue. Already confirmed for the showcases are East 17, Gilkicker, Dane Bowers and for the under 17 showcase X Factor favourites Ben Mills and Eton Road with more names to be confirmed.
BSP
This year the competition has winners in categories of best individual female, male and Best Live & Unsigned band. With the overall adult winner of the competition getting a management contract with Future Music with an initial investment of £20,000 invested in them. The Under 17’s winner will have the option to work with Mark Hill (Craig David’s producer) and will get to record an album. All winners will have the opportunity to tour and do as many as 50 gigs across the UK including some well known festivals. The overall aim is to get them signed with a major record label.
Judges include winner of four prestigious Ivor Navello's awards Mark Hill producer and writer of Craig David’s “Born to do it,” Multi platinum selling artist Lee Latchford Evans ex Steps, Kylie Minogue’s dance choreographer Tim Noble and Dane Bowers. Such Judges team up with Record label A & R and local Radio DJ’s.
