As a creative person I would wish to write something really inspiring but I am obsessive and really i should just get on with it. 2nd version of band, just me and best mate, i am the drummer and my mate is the guitarist, although we both experiment with other instruments. I generally am writing initial basic songs on guitar, drawing from chord sets for various keys although i am in no way a theorist, we then we both develop things from there. My main expertise really is production and writing lyrics, which i am pretty good at. My mate has more in depth knowhow on structuring chords and his guitar playing is pretty tight. I'm a poor singer, so we will be looking for a female vocalist and bass guitarist. My lyrics tend to come out of the aether, boil to the surface as some subconscious kind of thing, i believe that they, are in terms of good writing, meaningful in some way, although we will be looking for a good vocalist who can also construct good vocal melodies which are harmonic with our music. So this is a call out for bassists and singers. We would like our bassist to be able to ingest our music and arrangements, and then naturally do some bassline magic, basically take care of all the bassline writing to make our music better, especially as me and my mate have so little idea about bass guitar playing. I have a professional home recording studio with lots of good gear, and enough production experience so that we can make some solid recordings, before whacking them over to a sound engineer / masterer for mixdowns. Our commitment to the band is growing, we wish to get to some stage where we can happily gig. We are looking for a good bass guitarist with some theoretical skills and has good rhythm.
