ABOUT

Io was born out of a love of and fascination with space and the Universe. Indeed, 'Io' is the name one of Jupiter's moons. But I digress. We play space-influenced rock music, generally quite heavy, drop C#/ C chords and riffs with soaring, echoey high bits and melodic vocals. We have some epic 10+ minute songs and some in-your-face 2 minuters. We like half time. A lot.

But seriously, we're really laid back guys and we want more than anything to find members to start gigging this music and try to make a name for ourselves. We have about an album's worth of material written and recorded, so more than enough for a set (especially given that three of the songs combined last just under half an hour), and we really want to start practising and writing and recording new stuff. If you are even mildly interested in space and like any of the below 'influences' (particularly Tool and A Perfect Circle), chances are we'll get on like a house on fire.
