ABOUT

Have been playing since I was 18, really enjoy playing with other people and would be keen to find a band and get playing more.

I run a guitar meetup in a pub on Saturdays, which is a nice way to meet up and jam and sing with others but I'd be keen to be part of a band were it'd be possible to collaborate on writing and getting a polished set rather than the looser singalongs we manage as an acoustic rabble in the pub.

I've written before with bands and have been creating again with garageband, but I tend to be nervous around lyric writing, something I'd like to work on improving.

I'm easy going and quite a good listener - I like being able to bounce off other musicians rather than being the annoying guy trying to play over everyone else. I feel being able to listen and create as a group is one in an ego free way is one of the best skills to have as a musician.

I enjoy singing but doubt my voice is good enough to build a band around. I'm also really happy improvising and soloing in a bluesy / rocky kind of way and have enough music theory to cope with modes etc. I'm not a shredder and I believe that solos should serve the song rather than be something to stoke the ego of the player. Although showy is nice sometimes.

I also love electronic and droney ambient like Brian Eno, stars of the lid, loscil etc and have a tonne of delay pedals, volume pedals etc
