ABOUT
The Surrounded are a two piece act, formed in Shirley, Solihull after they met on the school run, and they quickly realised that they had more in common than just kids of the same age, and so began a musical journey.
John is the lead guitarist, singer/songwriter and also records the drums.
Simon plays the acoustic guitar and bass, and is also a singer/songwriter.
Influenced by bands such as Teenage Fanclub, The Cure, The Smiths and the Kinks, The Surrounded mix layered guitars with complimentary bass lines and atmospheric drumming to lyrics that come from sources such as a relatives WW2 poetry, and a memorial on a bench (really!) to make poignant and tuneful songs.
The Surrounded are looking at bringing their views of the world out of the Studio now.
