I am a 34 year old guitarist/songwriter/vocalist looking for a drummer and a bass player to start a classic/heavy blues rock power trio, hopefully thrown in with some dance rhythms in places. Would also consider forming a 4 piece with a good lead vocalist as I am able to/experienced in singing but I am better suited as a backing vocalist.
I have played/written for nearly 20 years and had some previous successes including radio 1 performances a few years ago, UK tours etc with previous bands.
I have many songs partially/fully written but looking to jam out some ideas and create some new material with the right people. Age is not important to me - if you're into the same music and you can play well, happy days!
My main influences (and would like to start a band with musicians with similar influences) include Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Deep Purple, Wolfmother, John Squire, The Music, Rival Sons. Other influences include Oasis, Kasabian, Primal Scream, RATM, Soundgarden, The Sunshine Underground. Amongst many others but these are my main go-tos for inspiration!
I would ideally like to meet a couple of musicians who are quite proficient on their instruments, to rehearse and jam casually at first and see how things go. Then I am happy to start looking to book gigs and put ourselves out onto local scenes and the manchester music scene etc. I am quite a driven person so if I find the right people, I will put 110% it.
