ABOUT

Professional Bass Guitarist.
I also have or rather I'm in the process of forming a band called "SLEEPWALKERS" based originally on my influences (Level 42 / Gary Numan / Jazz in general) mixed with whatever the other members bring to the table. Writing and recording a debut album in April / May / June Hopefully live shows Nov / Dec around the UK...
Also I'm going to use 2008 to get my name known. Gaining funding from other sources I am going tpo offer my bass guitar / vocal services for free, to as many musicians / bands and artists as I can. It's not good saying you are a great player if your CV is a blank sheet of A4, so trying to get people to pay you with this blank CV is like trying to get me to honour the bars of rest in a piece of music I'm playing. So I'm going to use this year to get a nice healthy CV completed, along with examples and video. Then 2009 I can begin the long and delightful journey of the sitting by the phone session player. LOL , Makes sense to me.
So if you are writing or recording anything this year, and you would like the addition of a superb professional bass guitarist / vocalist to your creation, then you need to get in touch with me and have a chat...
0789 2444848. Tt and I'll get back to you soon as possible.

Influences

Everything in the charts from 1960 to 2008 I'm known as Mr. Eclectical Ears....
Bass players...Mark King, Stu Hamm, Martin Elliott, Pino Palladino, Joe Hubbard, Nick Beggs......and of course on a huge scale Gary Numan / Level 42 & Tim Dry

EQUIPMENT

Changes quite regularly...I never love a certain bass and then cherish it. It's a piece of wood, and there's always a nicer one around the next corner....
But I do own 2 Squire Jazz 4 strings plus a 5 string fretless,
5 String Aria Magna Bass, £190 value for money is unreal...gigged for 6 years straight with that bass without a hick up. Only thing I changed was the nut. Threw away the plastic one and bought a bone replacement. Still got the bass. Looking rather tired now, but it still works and sounds great.

Amps, whatever I'm into atthe time and what the job I'm doing. Ashdown Perfect 10 Practice rig at home. But live could be Trace one week and then back to Ashdown the next. For this reason I always hire live rigs.
