Hey,

Secrets Of Kaplan are a duo that require a drummer to complete a 3 piece line up.
Our music is mainly alt rock based and is a combination of what we have been described as an alternative, poppy, dancy, ambient fusion of noise, so we do like to keep our options open.

We have 10 or so songs that we have been practicing with for the past few months with drum tracks, so we are very tight musically at the moment. All we need now is a drummer to play live and really get out there.

We are quite open to the style of music we play. From slower styled songs in the vein of Sigur Ros (I play one or two songs with a bow) to upbeat modern rock songs from bands like Jimmy Eat World, Goo Goo Dolls etc... We do like to experiment a little with some of the songs (playing guitar with bow, bassist uses a synth pedal ,even some orchestral drums etc..)

Our main influences are bands like, Jimmy Eat World, Sigur Rós, Goo Goo Dolls, Something For Kate, Biffy Clyro, Daiki Kasho, Nine Days etc..

So really looking for someone who is like minded, who is open minded and can vary different styles and enjoys what they play.

We are both 22, so looking for someone around similar age, and we practice regularly on Friday nights, at a great rehearsal spot 2 minutes from the train station in Keighley.

We have some songs we have just recorded on our myspace if anyone is interested as it shows what were doing at this moment in time and the sound of the band.
