My name's Yaz. I grew up in a sh*tty little town called Grimsby (which no one has ever heard of) and I'm here in London now, studying politics at uni. The reason I tell you this is that music is a passion of mine, but so is politics and would love to combine the two. I want to sing about things that matter. So the kind of style I was thinking could be almost anything. Maybe punk. My fave band are The Smiths, I also love The Cure, Joan Jett, Clash, Sex pistols, Bowie, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Desmond Dekker, Toots and the maytals, The specials, Madness, Marilyn Manson, Suede, Pulp, Blur, Amy Winehouse. Seriously the list could go on forever.
