ABOUT
I'm looking to collaborate with people. My journey started in the late Sixties drumming and singing in a "Hendrix Experience" style three piece. Lots of experimental stuff running a music workshop with whoever would try something new. Mid years work took over from bands and home recording maintained my creativity. On retiring I started singing my songs at Open Mics and wherever they would have me.
I write lyrics and use Propellorheads "Reason" on a Mac to build backing tracks on my own but really want to develop music with others. Also I want to perform more than at the Open Mics. I'm limited to open mics as venues don't seem to want to pay for an original backing track performance. I have an hour of original material some collaborations and some of my own.

Influences
I listen to everything I can and seek that I have not heard before. It all has an influence.
Love the Asian / Electronic crossovers happening at the moment.
African music in all it's variations. The new movement in Jazz. Classical is a growing enjoyment but I'm still having problems with Opera. Though modern choral is a real find recently. Rock goes all the way back to the Progressive start for me through Zappa, Can, Gong, Hatfield and the North . . oh dear this is going to be a long list . . .

EQUIPMENT
Vocals and "Reason", on a Mac, through an Apogee interface via 6x2 mixer (battery) into 1.6kw PA with 2 x 60w monitors and a 50w Crate amp (battery). Battery power for busking.
Travel Tumbau & Quinto, Cajon, Triangles, various other percussion.
Having to renew everything else due to house fire :-(
