My name is Wiktor Plaza and I have been playing as well as studying music since the age of six, which is when I first started playing the tenor trombone, later at the age of ten I picked up the bass trombone which greater advanced my skills in performance and sight reading, at the same time I was also playing the piano at a basic advanced level, mostly classical composers. At the age of sixteen I auditioned to enter the City of Leeds Youth orchestra and got the position of bass trombonist which I held for three years, at eighteen I enrolled to Leeds Conservatoire studying classical music whilst being involved in many musical productions being predominantly jazz and samba themed, such as Evita, Legally Blonde, and the Addams Family Musical. At the same time I was working alongside Opera North Orchestra based in Leeds where I worked on many classical Operas for two years, working on Tchaikovskys Oniegin, Verdis La Forza del Destino, I graduated Leeds Conservatoire in 2023 with a certificate in higher education in classical Music. Since then I have worked alongside Opera North Orchestra with Conductor Gary Walker and Principal tenor trombone player Blair Sinclair and principal bass trombone player Christian Jones. It would be a great honour for me to be a part of this experience where I can further show my musical skills to a greater audience. Thank you.

Influences
Some of my greatest influences came from mostly the classical world, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Brahms and Tchaikovsky, but over the years I’ve been greatly influenced by almost anything and anything that I listen to on the radio, which always varies from classical to modern contemporary music and influences.
