I've played guitar and piano for over 20 years, since I was a kid basically.
Originally classically trained on both instruments until I heard John Lee Hooker on a Budweiser advert, must have been about 1993 or something. Listened to blues ever since.
I spent a long time thinking jazz was rubbish until I heard Bill Evans a few years ago.
I'm looking for some like minded musicians who would like to get together and travel about the place playing soulful blues music.
I'm not interested in playing grotty local pubs on a weekend though. Its soul destroying.
I'd rather take it to some jam nights, play proper venues and work towards some of the smaller blues/jazz festivals.
