We are Vinyl Retreat, a pop, soul and Motown covers / function band. We have a broad repertoire, ranging from the 60s classics to contemporary hits. We choose classic songs that are fun to play and great for dancing.
We rehearse regularly in Morden, have played a couple of successful gigs already this summer and are actively marketing ourselves to line up more gigs for the rest of the year.
We are now looking for a lead / rhythm guitarist to join us – someone who is committed and keen to work with us to take the band forward. If you can sing backing vocals too, that would be a bonus but it is not essential.
You will need to be a capable and versatile player, comfortable working in a range of musical styles and able to get on easily with people. You also need to be able to commit to gigs and rehearsals on Friday or weekend nights if they come up.
