This project is similar in set-up to Goldfrapp in that it's based around a female lead vocalist/songwriter working with an experienced producer - who are the main band members. We're looking for a guitarist and drummer to join on a session work basis since the parts have mostly been written. Initially there will be some paid recording sessions, followed by reheasals for live shows.
The music is alternative pop with elements of Indie rock, so it's based mostly around keyboards and programmed drums. Guitar lines are fairly minimal but tasteful, and the drummer would work with the producer to to recreate the existing parts on a hybrid acoustic/electric kit.
The project is already fully funded and will be pitched to major labels soon. The songwriting is strong and the sound is fresh, and the plan is to make it one of the biggest UK acts this century. We hope to work with the same musicians long-term, so this will be a good opportunity to get established and gain experience.
