Vocalist, Lead Guitar.

TMC are a mixed covers band mainly comprising of colleagues at the same company in Kings Hill, West Malling. We were formed in 2009 after realising that there were a number of staff who were musical and had previous band experience, and we thought it might be a bit of fun to see if we could put something together. We practice once a week on a Wednesday evening in a make-shift area within our offices.

We tend to play three or four gigs a year - a mixture of charity events and paid functions - but we are keen to increase this, if possible. We aim to always be "gig-ready", with a set list running to about 2 hours.

We have a very broad range of influences within the band, from folk, pop, rock to prog, but we generally select material that is fairly mainstream pop and rock, and that our vocalist is comfortable singing. We have played over 70 different songs live covering the 1950s to present day. We have about a dozen standards that have remained in the set over the years, but we like to keep things fresh by bringing in new material on a regular basis. Our most recent set is:

Harvest for the World - Stuck in the Middle with You - Tangled Up (Caro Emerald) - Upside Down (Paloma Faith) - Mama Told Me Not To Come - Feel it Still - I Can See Clearly Now The Rain Has Gone - Heard It Through the Grapevine - You Might Need Somebody - Moondance - Cake By The Ocean - Mustang Sally - She Works Hard For The Money - Proud Mary - That Man (Caro Emerald) - You’re So Vain - Angie Baby - Happy - Ain't No Sunshine - Read All About It - Fever - Isn't She Lovely? - Hit The Road Jack - Can’t Take My Eyes Off You

Members Of Band

Being a "works" band has meant that we have seen members move on over the years, so in 2012 we brought in a female lead vocalist from outside as we had no exisiting members with a good enough singing voice. We currently consist of drums, bass, keys, rhythm guitar and vocals, with a violinist and second guitarist joining in when they can make it. We are all in our 40s and 50s, and have a wide range of musical abilities, but most importantly we manage to make a decent noise together, and have a lot of fun doing it.

Unfortunately, the two hour set list (typically 26-30 songs) is becoming increasingly difficult for our vocalist to deliver, so we are actively seeking a second lead vocalist (male or female) to share the burden. If that person can also take on lead guitar work too, that would be a welcome bonus.

We have our own PA (RCF active speakers), monitors and lights, together with a Soundcraft ui24r digital mixer. All our individual equipment is of a high standard - e.g. Korg and Yamaha keyboards.
