ABOUT
TMC are a mixed covers function band mainly comprising of colleagues at the same company in Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent. We were formed in 2009 after realising that there were a number of staff who were musical and had previous band experience, and we thought it might be a bit of fun to see if we could put something together. We practice once a week on a Wednesday evening in a open-plan area within our offices.
We play everything from parties and weddings to festivals and fayres - recently headlining the Tonbridge Christmas Lights and Fireworks event, for example. We'd like to gig more regularly - currently we manage about 8 a year.

Influences
We have a very broad range of influences within the band, from folk, pop, rock to prog, but we generally select material that is fairly mainstream pop and rock, and that our female vocalist is comfortable singing. We have played nearly 100 different songs live covering the 1950s to present day. We have about a dozen standards that have remained in the set over the years, but we like to keep things fresh by bringing in new material on a regular basis. Our most recent set is:
I Can See Clearly Now The Rain Has Gone - Moondance - Heard it Through the Grapevine - Stuck in the Middle with You - Mama Told Me Not To Come - Midnight Sky - You Might Need Somebody - Let Your Love Flow - Unchain My Heart - Isn't She Lovely? - Happy - Dakota - Make Me Smile - That Man - This Is The Last Time - Black Magic Woman - Don't Stop - I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) - Don’t Stop Believing - Mustang Sally - Cuddly Toy - Sex Bomb - Crocodile Rock - Go Your Own Way - Simply The Best - Hold The Line - The Power of Love (Huey Lewis) - Don't Start Now (Dua Lipa) - Flowers
Members Of Band
Although we started as a "works" band, departures over the years mean we are split 50/50. We currently consist of drums, bass, keys, lead guitar and female vocals, with a violinist and rhythm guitarist joining in when they can make it. We are all over 50 with a wide range of musical abilities, but most importantly we manage to make a decent sound together, and have a lot of fun doing it.
EQUIPMENT
We have our own PA (RCF active speakers), monitors and lights, together with a Soundcraft ui24r digital mixer. All our individual equipment is of a high standard - e.g. Korg and Yamaha keyboards.
