Returning to my 90'a roots after many years on the folk scene. And it feels good!

Singer/guitarist/multi instrumentalist/song writer/producer looking for a drummer to join me and a bass player.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through demoing a new album of 90's inspired grunge/alternative rock and looking to begin putting a band together for gigging and recording and all associated things. No great expectations. Once a week practices to begin with and see what happens. I've had success in the past pushing previous bands to near pro level. Of course, that would be the dream but that's usually the place when it falls apart as few musicians are actually willing to commit to it when presented with it. So for now, learn some songs, play some gigs, see what opportunities present themselves and where it leads. I would certainly be looking to pursue it to a professional if that opportunity arose.

I've recorded all the parts myself on the demos but I'm not necessarily looking for musicians to copy exactly what I've done. Let's say. . .I'm not gonna be all Billy Corgan about it! (despite a great admiration for the man!) A lot of the drums and bass I've kept simple and effective so there's plenty of room for someone to to better. Of course if you just wanted to copy what I've done I don't mind. Either way it's gonna need to be in the ball park.

I love harmonies. Well. . . mostly big shouty choruses so it would be great if you had at least some vocal ability but not essential.

Last point. . . The songs subject matter is quite politically motivated in favour of the left and quite anti right. and whilst you would not be required to share these views, it may not suit right leaning people. Unless you can tolerate me singing about what a knob you are. (laughing emoji)
