The AdLibs are a guitar pop band based in Birmingham. Influences include The Smiths, Idlewild, The Cure, The Killers. However we have a diverse sound from gentle acoustic stuff to intense guitar pop tracks with a punk edge. We have gigged and are gigging at The Adam and Eve, The Yardbird and The Bristol Pear in Birmingham and The Rock Cafe in Cannock.
We are planning to build on this, get better and more gigs in the Midlands and further afield and to record a quality demo to sell at shows etc. Dedication is essential, no stoners etc and no scenesters; we are trying to do something a little different based around quality songs and thoughtful lyrics and don't really fit into any current trends. We're thoroughly unfashionable and ugly so pretty boys need not apply either. We rehearse in Birmingham. Get in touch. Cheers. dervel76@
