The band has been together since 2007, playing around 500 gigs in that time, in all sorts of venues and for many various functions. The Hyperbolics is now a 3-piece unit (with two of the members employed by Cranfield University at the Defence Academy at Shrivenham) and has a large working repertoire of over 100 popular rock, indie, punk, glam and pop songs. Bands typically covered include the likes of Stereophonics, Foo Fighters, AC/DC, Queen, Killers, Kings of Leon, Blur, T.Rex, Sweet, David Bowie, Stone Roses, The Cult, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc. The band is very well known on the local pub gig circuit for its tightness, variety, longevity and stamina and can usually be found playing locally virtually every weekend.
